In a recent announcement, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee declared that schools in West Bengal will not reopen on the scheduled date of 5th July.
Instead, the reopening date has been postponed to the 15th of June due to the prevailing heatwave in the state. The decision was taken to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff.
With temperatures soaring and the mercury reaching extreme levels, the state government has prioritized the health concerns of students.
CM Mamata Banerjee emphasized the need to protect children from the scorching heat, which could potentially pose risks to their health and safety.
